Social Augmented Reality Mobile Location-based Service:
Ariadne AR ur client-side software and any web service enable camera-equipped mobile devices (such as iPhones, Android “Google Phones”, and other smart-phones) to access informational and entertainment services by creating a “Clickable World” via the use of Augmented Reality (AR) hyper-tags.
These user-clickable tags, which we call “POITags”, are location-based and mapped in the real world. These Tags can be seen and accessed through the camera view of mobile devices with Ariadne software installed on it.
All locations that decide to offer Arianna AR Guide will offer for free the software from it’s mobile site (a mobile dedicated site for download and social interaction is included in all Ariadne’s projects)
Ariadne AR is realized though a combination of technologies, including client-side software deployed on iPhone, Android, RIM and other OS platforms, and also highly scalable web computing systems. In addition, Ariadne AR integrates with services provided by mobile carriers, existing data/service providers, and location technology companies, which combined, enable this dynamic location-based information retrieval service.

Ariadne AR is a social augmented reality application that enables users to communicate by attaching digital post-its to the real world.
By just holding your iPhone or other new generation phone up and looking through the camera view, you can access information that are relevant to that place and time, shown as an overlay on the real world. Ariadne AR provides a completely new interface that connects the real world and the Web.
The following are some of the features of Ariadne AR:
1. Crowdsourcing • User Generated Content Features
POITag: location-based digital post-its that can be text, photos or voice messages. Users can share comments, memories, graffiti, and anything else that comes to mind by leaving Air Tags at that place and moment. Other Ariadne AR users can see them by just by holding an iPhone over that location.
POI Filter: a search filter to find the POITags users are looking for. By specifying time, distance and type, users can sort through the many floating POITags around the location.
POI Pocket: a bookmark that allows users to view POITags even when users are not at the location the POITags were posted.
2. Social Communication Features
AriadneLife: a life-log feature that shows how users and their friends have interacted with Ariadne in a timeline display. Users can follow other users, and view their comments and actions.
POI Profile: POI Tags that show users’ registered profiles, which float right above any user’s phone for others to see – just like name cards with any messages that you may want to add.
POI Tweet: Tweets that can be viewed as floating POI Tags.
